1. In a letter from Norma Ivey, 24 Sep 2001, she wrote: “Bill Ivey had several wives. Lived in Indianapolis (Indiana). Was a carpenter, and built a house in Virginia, also a dish cabinet in the house we owned.”
2. In emails from Richard Callard, Jan 2002: ”William Harry IVEY had three wives. Dora Leigh was his first. He is buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Was divorced by my grandmother, Dora Leigh DAVIS (She married him twice, once in Illinois, then she filed for divorce in Illinois). He talked her into going to Kansas, (he had left her and had gone there). She followed, and they married again. After the 2nd divorce in Jacksonville, Morgan Co., Illinois, he went to Indianapolis, where he had FAMILY. He also married two others in Indianapolis.”
