Misc. Notes
1. From a letter from Bob Wakenshaw, Jan 2002: “When he retired, he and his wife, Delores, moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas. I have a large picture of Godfrey that he sent his father, Frank Sumicek in 1933. On the back he wrote To the most wonderful father a boy ever had. Your loving son, Godfrey ‘Bohus’’.”

2. A letter sent to me by Bob Wakenshaw, Sep 2003: “I was going through some letters that Delores & Godfrey Sumicek wrote my Mom. One dated 6-4-67 had a snapshot of a grave stone. It appears that Delores’ mother died in 1963 and they never had a headstone for her. Then in 1967 they put up a headstone with Godfrey and Florence on it, along with her mother’s name, Lillie C. Dorche. I recall that the census record you found on Dorche had the mother listed as “Marie”. Enclosed is a slip which shows what is on the tombstone.”
