1. Anton came to America in 1911 and went to his brother Frank’s in Union Hill, New Jersey. It is unclear how long Anton was there, or if he went back to Czechoslovakia. The 1930 US Census shows he was Naturalized in 1923 and his wife and children the following year in 1924. [488], [487]

2. Bob Wakenshaw emailed me and said he has a photo of Anton, and on the back Bob’s mother had written Anton and wife Sophie. Bob’s mother is about 4 years old in the photo, so it was taken about 1909 in America. So Anton was here before 1911, but I can find no records of his arrival, nor can I find him in the 1910 census.
