“George H. Nash of 900 East Curtis Avenue, died Thursday at the Decatur and Macon County Hospital, following a surgical operation. He would have been 31 years old in May. He suffered from a disease of the bones and is said to have been operated on thirty times. Mr. Nash was born in Derbyshire, England, 24 May 1895, but most of his life had been spent in this country. He lived in Nokomis before moving to Decatur, and was a member of the Baptist church there. He is survived by his wife and two children, Dorothy Nash and George Nash Jr. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Sarah J. Nash and the following brothers and sisters: Fred, Arthur, Wilfrey, Edward [James Edward], Albert, Peter, Reter[?], and Miss Florence Nash, all of Decatur, Mrs. Doris Green of Detroit, Mrs. Albert Hatton [Nellie], and Mrs. Peter McPherson [Emily], both of Alberta, Canada. The body was removed to the Moran & Sons undertaking establishment and prepared for burial.” [194]
