1. Civil War service. Enlisted 4 Sep 1863 at Lebanon, Kentucky. Mustered into service 24 Oct 1863 at Glasgow, Kentucky, as a Private in Company E. of the 37th Kentucky Infantry. He was honorably discharged 29 Dec 1864 at Louisville, Kentucky, by reason of the mustering out of the Company, a Private. [6]
