1. In the administration of Chandler Crowder’s estate (file 384), Sangamon co., Ill. Administrator was Matthew P. Crowder, his brother, filed 14 Aug 1839. “Lucinda Crowder, widow of Chandler Crowder, that she has her bed and bedding, her saddle and bridle, household and kitchen furniture for herself and family, meat and bread for self and family for one year; provender for horse and cow for one year...” [6]

1. Moved from Green county, Kentucky, to Sangamon county, Illinois, along with the parents of Chandler C. Crowder and Elijah Sanders and his family. They all arrived in Nov 1830. One child was born to Lucinda and Chandler in Kentucky, three others were born in Illinois. Chandler Crowder was drowned 10 Aug 1839 while attempting to cross Sugar Creek (Sangamon county, Illinois), to reach his sick family. [6]
