1. Floyd served in the US Navy, enlisting on 9 Aug 1943. He attended military school in Great Lakes, Illinois, and served at NTS Farragut, Idaho, The Service School at Great Lakes, Illinois, and at USN Sub Base # 128 in Pearl Harbor. Floyd was honorably discharged on 9 Dec 1945. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Victory Medal. Ratings held while in service were AS S2/c S1/c(M) S1/c SF3/c(T). [16]
